Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Design Extractor Chrome extension, website, APIs, and related services.

Effective date: April 19, 2026

1. The Service

Design Extractor helps users analyze web page design systems and generate AI-assisted design documentation, including DESIGN.md files. Features may include Chrome side panel analysis, page style extraction, screenshots, AI-generated output, saved history, Google sign-in, quotas, and paid subscription plans.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for your account, browser profile, custom API keys, and all activity under your account.

If you sign in with Google, you authorize us to use your Google account information as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to violate laws, third-party rights, website terms, or platform policies; analyze or process information you do not have the right to use; collect sensitive personal information without permission; bypass quotas, authentication, payment, security, rate limits, or access controls; attack or disrupt the Service; or use output to mislead others, infringe intellectual property, or violate confidentiality obligations.

You are responsible for determining whether your use of analyzed websites, screenshots, design assets, and AI-generated output is lawful and permitted.

4. AI Output

The Service uses AI systems to generate design analysis and documentation. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to other generated content.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating output before relying on it. We do not guarantee that generated output is unique, legally safe for every use, or suitable for any specific purpose.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party services, including Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Supabase or other infrastructure providers for data storage, and AI model providers for analysis generation.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, policies, or processing outside our control.

6. Plans, Quotas, and Billing

Design Extractor may offer free and paid plans. Paid plans may include monthly quotas or other usage limits. Quotas, features, and pricing may change, but changes will not reduce an already paid subscription period unless required by law or platform rules.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscription cancellation and billing management may be handled through Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

7. User Content and License

You retain rights to content you provide or cause the Service to process, including page design data, screenshots, prompts, and generated analysis history.

You grant Design Extractor a limited license to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the user-facing Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Design Extractor, including its extension, website, branding, code, designs, documentation, and service infrastructure, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Design Extractor to you.

9. Service Changes and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent data retention, or compatibility with every website, browser version, AI provider, or operating environment.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or liability, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the Service in a way that may harm users, third parties, or the Service.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

The Service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Design Extractor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or replacement services.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
